On Friday, October 7th the opening ceremony of ADI Design Index Exhibition took place in Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, in the very heart of Milan. The inauguration unveiled the names of the products of 2015 that were selected to be part of the yearbook published by ADI (Italian Association for Industrial Design) that collects the best of Italian design, selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory. From furniture to mobility, from working tools to graphics, the selected products constitute a pre-selection for next ADI Compasso D’Oro Award, the most famous prize of Italian design. AMV Design is happy and proud to say that among those names there was a product made in AMV from concept to bodywork engineering, framework and cabin. It is the Mammoth, an ice-resurfacing machine manufactured by WM, in Bolzano (Italy), that completely transformed the world of vehicles for ice rinks preparation in sports arenas.

The forefather of a new electric generation
Innovative in all aspects, WM avant-garde team equipped the Mammoth with 100% electric propulsion controlled by a technologically advanced electronic system (PLC control) granting high performances in terms of working speed with reduced consumption. Other noteworthy characteristics of this ice giant are the external passenger seat that allows to offer a lap of honor to a chosen guest; tilting cabin to allow easy access to engine compartment for maintenance; a water tank with a capability of 1000 liters and a snow container of 3m³. Finally, a quick blade change mechanism and a spring-loaded edger fully made of stainless steel complete the modern picture.
Technical and aesthetical quality as well as the performances of the new ice-resurfacing machine Mammoth were expected to be the best ever, and that was made possible exclusively thanks to the deep synergy between AMV Design and WM highly qualified team.

Mammoth international debut
Mammoth official presentation took place in Colonia (Germany) at FSB trade fair in late October 2015, the exhibition gathering the best of sports and amenities facilities world. To follow, in February 2016 the Swedish debut arrived at the fair of Träffpunkt Idrott – Meeting for Sports Arenas and Facilities, a fundamental biennial event taking place in Göteborg and attracting influential executives from the world of water and ice sports.
