The Adi Design Index 2021 collection was presented in Milan, celebrating the excellence of Italian design and nominating the selected products to the prestigious “Compasso d’oro” award. People, Planet, Prosperity are the keywords that have guided the choices of the Permanent Observatory of the Association for Industrial Design, ADI Design, in the selection of the best products of the year. Among the winners there is M-VET, Veterinary device for Laser therapy, born from the constant search from ASA, a company that for more than thirty years has been deepening its energies in the medical field. M-VET contains within itself the value of innovation and recognized therapeutic efficacy and thanks to engineering and design, the device has been dressed with aesthetic attributes that enhance the quality and give identity to the product. Mr. Roberto Marchesini, General Manager of ASA, convinced supporter of the 'Power' of design, has expressed deep pride in the result obtained, happy to embody the model of the best Italian craftsmanship. These results can only be obtained when the engaged people have the desire to get involved and are guided by the strength of the passion for the achievement of a goal. AMV Design, in the words of the Design and Engineering Manager Mr. Paolo Varotto, explains the idea behind the development of M-VET: "Inspiration was born from the idea of giving an organic and ergonomic shape to the product, which should appear as a single protective body, inside and outside, designed to contain all the required features. However, the device points of strength also had to emerge in the Design of M-VET, in particular its sense of protection and lightness, to be combined with a large display, with a soft and monolithic shape. The goal to be achieved was clear: create a unique product capable of breaking the mold. We focused on the use of a lightweight, elastic, anti-shock material and, at the same time, sufficiently solid, enough to contain and protect the technological heart inside. Thanks to this choice, was possible to recover space, weight and greatly reduce the number of components being assembled. I believe that the ability to convey a high perception of a technological and advanced content thanks to simple and unusual shapes may be the basis of the selection for the ADI Design Index”.
